     Japanese Journal of Pesticide Science

     The Journal of Pesticide Science is a peer-reviewed journal, in which original scientific papers related with pesticides and/or crop protection are published. The included research areas are chemistry, biology, safety assessment, application technology and regulatory sciences of pesticides and/or crop protection. While the chemicals used for, or applicable to crop protection, crop production and vector control are the major targets of interest, topics concerning biological control and biotechnology are also welcome.

     The Journal calls for the submission of manuscripts for the publication as Original Articles, Notes, Short Communications, Technical Reports, or Review Articles in the Journal. The Journal accepts the submission not only from the members of the Pesticide Science Society of Japan, but also from non-members, with provided that they pay the fee JPY10,000 per publication (The members are exempt from the fee).

     Published articles in the Journal appear major international prominent databases (listed in BOX), and the full-text can be accessed freely in the online journal web site.

Articles published in the Journal have been downloaded over 2000 times per month in total from the web site, and the impact factor has been increasing (0.869 in 2009). The journal's rapid peer- review process allows the authors to receive the response from the reviewers within 30 days from the submission as average. The accepted paper is published online in advance, prior to the journal's quarterly publication.
